Silver Surfer
Got some very odd looks tonight when i cruized down my local high street to pick up my niece from her dance classes on a Xootr.
I will be 34 next month - but when do we become too old to do things like this any more? At least i can hide in my house, read superhero comics and play computer games without Joe Public looking in, but does it ever become unacceptable to enjoy yourself in public when you reach a certain age?

Bollocks to 'em all, if you want to do it, do it. "You're only as old as the woman you feel" someone famous once said. I remember talking about personal stereo (pre ipod days) earphones, with a work experience lad. I said I wanted to use a really good pair of earphones I had at home, but felt a bit foolish wearing them in public as they were rather large. He said that, well, it didn't really matter. I asked why, and he replied, "Well, no one will look, 'cause your old" I was about 28 at the time. So I'm going to stand up and be a proud "Dancing like your Dad when a pissed up cunt" on wedding video's in future.

Don't be embarrassed - we've reached the age when we can start embarrassing other people! Pissed wedding dance? Bring it on!!
I suppose i have some comfort in the fact that the Xootr actually belongs to my Mum! She uses it when my Dad goes Roller Blading - a little easier on the knees/ankles for her.
you need to remember that you need to have fun,
walking with my daughter down Canterbury High Street at 9am on a saturday morning singing Bohemian rhapsody in a very erm *vigourous* fashion may have raised a few eyebrows but it felt damned good
